Kampala, April 19, 2025 — The Uganda Police Force has released the official list of successful applicants for the position of Probationer Police Constable, with interviews scheduled to commence on April 28, 2025.According to a statement issued by the Uganda Police, shortlisted candidates are advised to prepare for the next phase of the recruitment exercise, which includes oral interviews, physical fitness assessments, and medical examinations.
The development follows the force’s March 2025 announcement of plans to recruit 10,000 probationer police constables as part of efforts to strengthen community policing and enhance public safety.
The recruitment drive targeted Ugandan citizens aged 18 to 25, as confirmed by Brig. Gen. Jesse Kamunanwire, Director of Human Resource Management.
Applicants were required to submit handwritten applications addressed to the Inspector General of Police, accompanied by photocopies of their academic documents, a National Identity Card, three passport-size photographs, and an Identity Card or Introductory Letter from their former school. Additional requirements included recommendation letters from their Local Council I (LCI), Local Council III (LCIII), and Resident District Commissioner (RDC).
All applications were to be submitted to Police District or Divisional Headquarters no later than Friday, March 21, 2025.
The police have encouraged all successful candidates to check their names at their respective recruitment centers and to adhere strictly to the scheduled interview dates.
