Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) is set to unveil a landmark achievement in the country’s healthcare sector with the official opening of the new Military Referral Hospital on April 30th. His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda is expected to officiate the grand opening.
Described as a state-of-the-art facility, the hospital is poised to be the most advanced medical institution in Uganda, and potentially one of the best in East Africa. It is equipped to handle a wide range of specialized medical services and will serve both military personnel and civilians.
“This is a monumental achievement for the UPDF and the nation at large,” a UPDF spokesperson said. “We congratulate all members of the UPDF who contributed to making this dream a reality.”
The facility stands as a testament to the UPDF's commitment to excellence, innovation, and service, and is expected to significantly enhance Uganda’s healthcare delivery system.
