Arua City, March 18, 2025 — The organisers of the ongoing Arua City Secondary School Ball Games have dismissed claims circulating on social media alleging the banning of Mvara Secondary School and St. Joseph’s College Ombaci from proceeding to the next stage of the competition.

Speaking to the press earlier today, the organisers clarified that no official communication or meeting had taken place involving them regarding any disciplinary action against the two prominent schools.

“We want to categorically state that as organisers, we have not been involved in any discussions or meetings concerning the alleged ban of Mvara SS and St. Joseph’s College Ombaci,” a spokesperson for the organising committee said.

“We are not aware of any such decision, and we urge the public to treat this information as baseless.”

The clarification comes after social media platforms were awash with reports suggesting that both schools had been barred from continuing in the competition, reportedly due to misconduct.

The organisers, however, emphasized that any official decisions regarding disciplinary actions would involve proper channels, including consultations with school authorities and the games’ governing bodies.

Both Mvara SS and St. Joseph’s College Ombaci are yet to comment publicly on the issue. The organisers have urged the public to disregard unverified information and promised to provide official updates through appropriate channels.
