In a bid to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across Uganda, the National ICT Innovation Hub, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), has launched a five-day Training of Trainers (TOT) program at the Muni University Business Incubation Center (BIC) Hub.

The training, which commenced on the 23rd of September 2024, is designed to equip innovators, entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurship lecturers with the skills to drive innovation, scale-up projects, and contribute to Uganda’s economic growth.

The TOT program, running from September 25th to 27th, 2024, brings together participants who demonstrate strong leadership and innovation potential within their fields.

This strategic initiative targets lecturers, innovators, and entrepreneurs from Muni University and the region. These key individuals are expected to facilitate further training sessions to create a ripple effect of knowledge sharing and skill development throughout the region.

According to organizers, this TOT program will create a robust network of empowered trainers across Uganda, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among innovators from different regions.

The outcomes of this initiative are expected to fuel regional development by enabling participants to bring forth impactful solutions that address local challenges.

With the growing importance of digital tools and entrepreneurship in driving socio-economic development, this TOT training stands as a crucial step towards empowering Uganda's next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

The program will conclude on the 27th of September, with participants well-prepared to implement their newfound skills in their respective institutions and communities.
