In a move set to revolutionize Uganda’s education landscape, stakeholders from the education sector gathered recently to review and strategize on the Ministry of Education and Sports’ Digital Agenda.

The initiative, aimed at integrating cutting-edge digital tools and technologies into Uganda’s education system, focuses on enhancing teaching and learning outcomes across all levels.

Dr. Kedrace, addressing Permanent Secretary [PS] during the gathering, emphasized the significance of equipping teachers with essential digital skills.

She noted that the success of the Digital Agenda hinges on the empowerment of learners, who remain at the heart of this transformative journey.

Through the roadmap, the Ministry seeks to ensure that educational institutions across Uganda have access to modern technological resources, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment.

The meeting brought together educators, policymakers, technologists, and innovators, all dedicated to shaping a more connected and technologically advanced education system. With the rise of digital learning tools, the Ministry’s approach includes initiatives to bridge the digital divide, ensuring no learner is left behind due to lack of access.

The roadmap is aligned with Uganda’s Vision 2040, which emphasizes the role of technology in national development. Through partnerships with tech companies and international organizations, the Ministry aims to promote innovation in education while ensuring accessibility for all.
