The Area Member of Parliament for Arua Central Division who also doubles as the government chief whip for West Nile sub region, Hon. Jackson Atimalee Butti has lashed out on the security officials in Arua city for halting the evictions operation of witch doctors in Arua city by the authority of the area.
While addressing journalists at Hill top Hotel on Tuesday 28th/12/2022, the area Member of Parliament for Arua Central Division who doubles as the government chief whip, Hon. Jackson Atimalee Butti expressed disappointment over the halting of the operation by the security officials, according to him the reason that his office received over the halting of the operations by the security officials were not evident enough to halt the operations.

The speaker of Arua Central Division, Hon. Rashul Osugga accused the security officials for taking bribe from the witch doctors of doing their witch craft business in the area.

He further stressed that they are doing the operations within the law that the security should allow them to continue with it.

The local council two of Kenya word, Mr. Samari Ejaga says that for them they will continues with the operations regardless of the security halts because it is the community that area suffering.

There are over 500 witch doctors that were found operating their business of witch craft in Arua city, the city health inspector of Arua Geoffrey Apangu revealed that all the suspects which were arrested during the operations were released on police bonds and their items that were Confiscated are still in their custody.

However in the recent communication resident city commissioner, Mrs. Alice Akello says that they have agreed that the operation should be done properly were the documentations of the operation is taken by the security personnel.

The operation of arresting the witch doctors that started on 20th/12/2022 by Arua city council authority netted 5 witch doctors that were arrested and later released on police bond.
