Koboko Chief Magistrate’s Court has remanded 38-year-old Gloria Adokorach, a midwife at Koboko Hospital, until March 13, 2025, on charges of causing financial loss to the government.

Adokorach was arrested by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit for allegedly drawing double salaries since 2021 by holding simultaneous employment at both Koboko Hospital and Yumbe General Hospital. This fraudulent arrangement reportedly cost the government UGX 40,000,000 in financial losses.

Following her arraignment, the court ordered her remand as investigations continue. The case highlights ongoing efforts to curb corruption and financial mismanagement in public institutions.
