Juba, South Sudan – Kenya's Special Envoy, H.E. Raila Odinga, has arrived in South Sudan to initiate a crucial peace dialogue aimed at restoring stability to the war-torn nation. Appointed by President William Ruto after consultations with regional leaders, Hon. Odinga’s mission comes at a pivotal time for South Sudan, where the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) remains a challenge.
Odinga, a seasoned leader with deep political experience, is set to meet with all parties involved in the R-ARCSS, including key political leaders and stakeholders, to foster dialogue and bridge the gaps that continue to hinder the peace process. His visit marks Kenya’s ongoing commitment to regional peace and the security of its neighbors.
In his mission, Odinga will engage in high-level talks aimed at addressing lingering conflicts and tensions while advocating for comprehensive solutions that include power-sharing, security arrangements, and humanitarian support.

The Kenyan government, along with other regional leaders, is hopeful that Odinga’s diplomatic experience and leadership will play a crucial role in pushing forward the peace agenda.Stakeholders and citizens across South Sudan are closely watching the developments, with hopes high that this diplomatic mission will bring renewed efforts toward a peaceful resolution.
