The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has officially distanced itself from various publications circulating regarding appointments in the judiciary. 

In a press release issued on February 7, 2025, the Commission stated that it has not authorized or endorsed reports related to the appointment of the Deputy Chief Justice, Justices of the Supreme Court, Justices of the Court of Appeal, Judges of the High Court, or the re-appointment of Hon. Lady Justice Bukirwa Faridah Shamilah.

The JSC emphasized that it has established official communication channels for disseminating information to stakeholders. 

These include its official X (formerly Twitter) account (@JSCUganda), its website (www.jsc.go.ug), and formal correspondence on official letterhead. 

Any information not communicated through these official platforms, the Commission stated, should be disregarded as unauthorized.In the press statement, the JSC expressed regret over any confusion or inconvenience caused by the unauthorized publications.
