Integrated Child Service Consult - a Non Governmental Organization working in West Nile with key project activities at Imvepi Refuge settlement is championing financial access and inclusion among the Refugees and Host Communities at Imvepi Settlement.

As a core to the Enabling Gender-Sensitive Restoration of Livelihoods Capacities of Refugee Youth, Young Women and Men in Refugee - Host communities project, ICS as an organization is able to financially support 20 VSLA groups with a direct project reach to over 400 beneficiaries.

The project is been funded by Children’s Right and Violence Prevention Fund under which the intervention aims to enhance institutional capacity of the cluster partners to respond to the effects of COVID-19 on their organizations and beneficiaries and strengthened economic recovery of Refugee Youth, and Young Women and Men in refugee host communities of Imvepi refugee settlement in Imvepi refugee settlement. The 15 months project spans a project timeline from January 2022 to May 2023. 

The project targets 400 direct beneficiaries i.e. 200 young women, 132 youth and 68 men and is being implemented by Integrated Child Service Consult.

The beneficiary groups and stakeholder engagement  under this project have appreciated the implementing partner Integrated Child Service Consult (ICS) for having put in place a balanced project beneficiary scope for both the Host and Refugees at a 50 - 50 scale. 

While at the Quarterly reflection meeting held at the UNHCR Imvepi offices, the stakeholders appreciated the steady progress of the project and aired on how the 32 Million revolving fund is helping the beneficiaries.

ICS was formed particularly to complement the efforts of the Government, to deliver child protection with a focus on prevention and response to child abuse, neglect, violence, and exploitation, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Youth targeted services, and economic empowerment of women in the communities. 

To achieve the desired empowerment and transformation, ICS works through her sectors of; Protection, Education, Psychosocial Support, Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Sustainable Livelihood, and Environment.

The Organization's target groups are smallholder farmers, agro-enterprises, women groups, Adolescent girls and young women, children under the age of 18 years, school-going children i.e.  ECD, primary school pupils, secondary students. 

We pay special attention to the most vulnerable including women, people with disabilities, and people living with #AIDS.  We work with both refugees and host communities in urban and rural settings.
