Arua Regional Referral Hospital management together with Doctors With Africa  were over whelmed with the turned up of the people who are seeking for Eye  medical  service at the hospital in the ongoing eye surgery camp at the hospital .

Juliet Lutomya, the Ophthalmic Clinical Officer of Doctors with Africa explained to our reporter on Monday that they had planned   eye  surgery camp targeting 100 people only  but the numbers that turn up are  more than expected.

John Baptist Odida one of persons leaving with vision impairment who came for the medication all the way from Kiryadongo district says that he moved in various hospitals across the country seeking for treatment  yet there has been no positive result.

Deogratious Odida, the son to John Baptist Odida explained that the eye problem of his father is affecting them a lot as the family members.

Ceasor Daniel, a student of Standard college secondary school in Arua city says that the problem of his eyes is affecting his performance in class.

Recently, the principle clinical officer and the acting head department of Ophthalmologist of Arua regional referral hospital, Joel  Oyaa revealed that they receives over 20 patients that comes for the eyes treatment in the hospital on daily basis.

The eye surgery camp that was organized by Doctors with Africa together with Arua Regional Referral Hospital management that started on Monday 14th/11/2022 is expected to end on Friday 18th/11/2022.
