Gulu, Uganda — Former combatants of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) have today graduated after completing skills training aimed at facilitating their reintegration into society. The graduation ceremony was held at the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) offices in Gulu.

The event marks a significant milestone in a broader reintegration program, launched two years ago, to support individuals who returned from captivity and help them transition to civilian life. The training equips the beneficiaries with practical skills necessary for sustainable livelihoods within their communities.

Rwot Onen David Acana II, a key cultural leader, attended the ceremony, commending the efforts of all stakeholders involved in restoring hope and dignity to the former combatants.

The graduation is part of an ongoing national initiative to encourage peaceful resettlement and community healing after years of conflict.
