Yumbe District, Uganda – In a significant step towards improving the quality of education in Yumbe District, CEFORD Uganda, through the #RisingProject, has officially commissioned two new classroom blocks and ten VIP latrine stances at Mijale Primary School. The infrastructure development was part of an ongoing commitment to enhancing learning environments in underserved areas.

In addition to the construction, the project also saw the distribution of essential educational materials, including desks, office tables, chairs, and textbooks. This vital support was made possible through funding from #Akofoundation, in partnership with #StrommeFoundationUganda.

The new facilities are expected to ease overcrowding in classrooms and provide better sanitation conditions for both students and staff. Mijale Primary School, located in a region that has long struggled with inadequate educational resources, will now benefit from an improved environment conducive to learning and teaching.

The commissioning event was attended by key local leaders, education officials, and representatives from CEFORD Uganda, who all lauded the initiative as a significant milestone in advancing education and community development in the area. Local community members expressed their gratitude, acknowledging the positive impact the project will have on students' access to quality education.

As part of the #RisingProject, CEFORD Uganda remains dedicated to furthering its mission to create lasting change in education and community infrastructure, with more projects planned for the future.
