In a landmark move aimed at strengthening Uganda's judiciary, His Excellency the President of Uganda has exercised his powers under Article 142 (1) and (2) of the Constitution to make significant appointments within the country's highest courts. 

The President appointed Hon. Justice Zeija Flavian as the new Deputy Chief Justice, alongside Muzamiru Kibeedi Mutangula as a Justice to the Supreme Court. Additionally, eight new Court of Appeal Justices have been appointed to serve at various levels of Uganda’s judicial system.

Appointment of Hon. Justice Zeija Flavian as Deputy Chief Justice

Hon. Justice Zeija Flavian’s appointment as the new Deputy Chief Justice marks a notable milestone in Uganda's legal landscape. Justice Zeija, who has earned a stellar reputation throughout his judicial career, has been entrusted with one of the most crucial positions within the judicial hierarchy.

Muzamiru Kibeedi Mutangula Appointed as Justice to the Supreme Court

In another pivotal move, Muzamiru Kibeedi Mutangula has been appointed as a Justice to the Supreme Court of Uganda.
