Arua School of Comprehensive Nursing & Midwifery on 19th November, 2022 commissioned the newly constructed hostel to accommodate the female students of the institution.

While presiding over the function, Honorable Joyce Moriku Kaduchu, the State Minister for Primary Education graced the commissioning ceremony as the guest of honor.

During the ceremony, Hon. David Asizua, the Local Council one chairman of Hospital Cell proposed the minister to lobby for funds for more of such projects.

Dr. Nixon Dranimva, the principal of Arua Comprehensive Nursing and Midwifery appreciated the Uganda Government and urged the Minister to look on to the institution amidst the little resources of the ministry.

However, Associate professor Simon Anguma Katrini, the chair governing council requested the Ministry of Education and Sports for another hostel and support towards the construction of the planned new administration block.

Dr. Hajjat Safina Musene, the commissioner for Health Education and Training, thanked the chairperson governing council and Principle for having managed the construction works of the commissioned hostel.

The construction of the hostel took four years from the start of the construction till its commissioning and costed. As per the estimated cost of construction based on the years of construction, the four floored storage costed the government of Uganda funds worth one billion seven hundred fifty two million (1,752,000,000)
