Padea Town Council is alive with excitement as the much-anticipated Easter Cup 2025 officially kicked off, uniting communities through the spirit of football under the powerful theme: “Football for Peace, Unity and Development.”

This year’s tournament has drawn participation from various local teams, all eager to showcase talent, foster teamwork, and build bonds across the constituency. The event is more than just a sporting spectacle – it’s a platform for social cohesion and youth empowerment.


The Easter Cup is proudly sponsored by Kumakech Sam-Kusaja, Member of Parliament aspirant for Okoro Constituency, Zombo District, under the NRM Primary Election 2026-2031, and co-sponsored by Hon. Melki, the Mayor of Padea Town Centre. Their commitment to grassroots development and community transformation has been evident in their unwavering support for youth-driven initiatives.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Kumakech Sam-Kusaja emphasized the importance of sports in promoting peace and nurturing talent among young people. “Through this tournament, we aim to build bridges across communities and encourage the youth to remain focused and united,” he stated.
