Sunday Zola Bernard is now a South Sudanese player after changing his nationality and is now called Sanday Benard Said Atien
Zola missed joining the South Sudan national team as of early this year due a long spell muscle tear injury that affected his salary. Zola has put up an impressive play For the Juba based Atlabara FC in the South Sudan Top tier league were he scored 6 goals and had 7 assists in 13 games and later suffered from the muscle tear injury. Zola also had an impressive show at Arua Hill during the Big league times of the Sports Club but later ran for greener pastures in South Sudan to join Atlabara FC after Arua Hill SC got promoted to the Uganda Premier League.
It should be noted that the current Atlabara FC squad is solidly consisting of almost all the West ile based players with names like Gibson Adinho, Jamal Malish, Matata Gabriel, (Ex Onduparaka), Zebale Zadinho ZeeTaban Wijo, Anthony Kent (Ex Onduparaka Junior), Ayiko Abel & Ahmed Ongo (Ex Calvary FC Player), Bida Ezra (Ex Kyetume) and Koboko based Wayi Godfrey and Mandela Nelson.

As of now the growing list of Ugandan players crossing to South Sudan National team include; former Acholi province based player Tito Okello (Now in Turkey), Toha Rashid (Arua Hill SC), Bida Ezra (Kyetume), Matata Gabriel (Former Onduparaka) and Amir Funzi.
