It was a raining goal affair near the shores of the Nile River in Jinja at Kakindu as URA FC got their first win with 4 goals on matchday 4 of the Uganda premier leaque season after humbling Busoga United side to a 4-0 defeat at home in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played on Tuesday at Kakindu.
The 26 year old forward Kabon Living aka Messi grabbed a brace while George Ssenkaaba and Derrick Nsibambi scored two other goals for the Tax Collectors first victory four games into the season.
URA now move fourth with five points on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table, while Busoga are 10th on three marks.
The visitors URA FC had a brilliant opening half as they netted three of those four goals in the opening 45. Kabon opened the scoring for the Tax Collectors in 35th minute with a brilliant freekick into top corner past goalkeeper Andrew Ssekandi. Less than two minutes afterwards, it was 2-nil for the URA after Busoga United failed to clear a teasing Ibrahim Dada Juma’s cross for Nsibambi to react and put the ball into the back of net and double the Tax Collectors’ advantage.
Immediately afterwards, Ssenkaaba made it three for URA as he was in place to pounce in a Ibrahim Dada’s attempt that had rattled the post and came back into play. But just before the break, Busoga were granted a chance to pull at least a goal back from the spot, but Franco Balabala disappointingly sent the ball to the skys.
The game went into the break with the visitors in a comfortable 3-0 lead, and 15 minutes into the second, Kabon brilliantly completed his brace with a sweet strike from outside the box after nice play by Ssenkaaba to set him up.
In the later exchanges of the game, Busoga United tried to pull at least a goal back, but were denied by Nafian Alionzi on several occasions. At the end of the 90, it ended 4-0 and URA secured it’s first victory of the season after having garnered two points in their opening three games .For Busoga, they have now lost three of their opening four games this season.
URA FC have now played four season games of which they only won 1 with two draws and a loss as seen below';
Kabon, the eventual Pilsner Man of the Match, wrapped up things after the half time break with his second and fourth for URA. With two goals and one assist therefore puts Kabon to walk home with the man of the match.
Up NeXT on the fixture for the tax collectors is the 26th October 2022 matchday five fixture up against the Soltilo Bright Stars.
However, the struggling former Kirinya Jinja SSS FC now known as Busoga United FC shall have a late month fixture as of 29th October 2022 were they visit Villa in an away encounter.
Key to note is that the former Kirinya Jinja SSS FC now known as Busoga United FC have so far palyed 4 games and only won one as they lost the three as seen below;
It should also noted that the second fixture of the day - Express FC vs Gaddafi FC could not be played due to heavy downpours hence the second game as at Muteesa II Stadium – Wankulukuku of Matchday 4 cancelled.
