BUL 1-0 SC Villa

Wakiso Giants 2-1 Blacks Power

The Jinja based eastern giants Bull FC were able register yet another win on the good leaque start to sit top on the table as they feasted 1:0 on SC villa at FUFA technical center Njeru. The 26 years old Midfielder Richard Wandyaka claimed both the winning goal and Pilsner Man of the Match accolade as BUL upstaged SC Villa to consolidate their table leadership on Friday.

Coach Alex Isabirye’s BUL now have 10 points, establishing three between them and Villa in second both having played the same number of games. The  win now puts Bull FC on top of the table as they share points with the SC Villa Jogoos.

The 1-0 victory at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru was BUL’s third in four matches as the Jinja side continued their solid start to the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season. The bul team still remains solid with no game lost as the stats stand as seen below;

However, Bull 1:0 win over the Jogoos also meant a spoil stop For Villa who now have lost 1 and registers a draw and two wins as seen in the stats below;

Wandyaka’s goal, coming two minutes to full time, is the striker’s fourth in as many games, and has him leading the top scorers chart. This was Villa’s first defeat, but for a team that inspired so little confidence before the start of the season, they will be happy with their effort so far.

The 16-time Ugandan champions have won two of their four games, including a 2-0 victory over rivals Express. Villa have scored four goals along the way, with the one against BUL the first they were conceding.

Meanwhile back in back in Wakiso, Titus Ssematimba's scoring mood secured Wakiso Giant's first Uganda Premier Leaque Win as he scored the winning goal as Wakiso Giants beat Blacks Power 2-1 at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Friday.

Norman Ojik got the hosts opener in the first half while Michael Siwu netted the visitors consolation late on.
Wakiso’s first victory in three StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) matches moves them up to seventh on four points.

The story is hardly rosy for league newcomers, Blacks Power. The Lira side remain rooted at the bottom of the 15-team table on one point from four games.

Wakiso went ahead seven minutes to half time when Ojik helped in Frank Ssebufu’s back-heeled pass. The Purple Sharks doubled their advantage 15 minutes to full time, Pilsner Man of the Match, Ibrahim Kasule, setting up Ssematimba to score.
