The Kongolo team - Arua Hill SC today has put up an impressive performance at home against the Tax Collectors - URA FC as they score 3 goals against the visiting side (URA FC) who bagged 2 goals. In what could be termed as a fanless affair, the game was played indoors with no fan presence seen at the pitch except the Media and Match officials.
Hosts Arua Hill SC came from behind to beat 10-man URA 3-2 in a hotly contested StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match played at the Barifa Stadium in Arua on Tuesday. A Sam Ssekamatte brace and goal from Alfred Leku ensured all the three points after a strike on the stroke of half time and two quick fire ones after half time swung the pendulum into Arua’s favour. New signing Livin Kabon had given URA the lead on 28 minutes in the Tax Collectors second match of the season. Cromwell Rwothomio doubled coach Sam Timbe side’s lead two minutes to the break. But Ssekamatte, a new acquisition from Soltilo Bright Stars, pulled one back from a penalty spot in added time of the first half to send the game into the break finely poised.
The Kongolo meant serious business after the break, Ssekamatte completing his brace three minutes into the second half with a beautiful free kick.Leku, who was later on 79 minutes sent off for a second bookable offense, sealed the deal two minutes later. Arua Hill’s Faizul Ibrahim had a game to remember, pulling strings for the hosts as they held on for all three points. He was fittingly handed the Pilsner Man of the Match accolade. The victory sends Arua Hill, one of the three newcomers to top flight football, up to fourth on the 16-team log on seven points from four games. Failzul Anini was named Man of the match and he poses with the award .
With the current table standings, URA are now 12th on three from two matches as Arua Hill SC Climbs from 7 to the Fourth place on the log.
Arua Hill SC now travels to Jinja on an away encounter with the newly promoted Gadafi FC - A match to be played at Gadafi Arena on Friday 19th November 2021.
