Its matchday Two encounter for Onduparaka FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League as they look for a season first win against SC Villa - The Sixteen-time Uganda Premier League champions. As SC Villa look forward to maintaining their great start as they visit Onduparaka FC at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground (7/10/2022).
It should be noted that Onduparaka FC is playing the game without fans, a decision that was decided by the FUFA disciplinary Committee. However the game shall be live on FUFA TV from 4PM.
Victory for SC Villa against Onduparaka would take them top of the log with maximum points however Onduparaka will be desperate to get off the mark and earn their first season points when they host SC Villa at in the first of five home games played away from Green Light. They face a confident Jogoos side that against all odds started the season with a win after dispatching highly rated Gaddafi FC at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
Key to note about the previous encounter of the two in the last season is that The encounter between the two sides at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru was chaotic and saw left back Rashid Okocha banned for several months. However, the Caterpillars beat SC Villa in the corresponding fixture last campaign courtesy of a first half goal by Muhammad Shaban. Overall, the two sides have face off twelve times with Villa taking a lion’s share of wins with 7 against 5 and there have not been draws.
SC Villa head coach Jackson Magera will be bolstered by the timely return goal keeper Meddie Kibirige after his return from 2022 Hollywood COSAFA championship in South Africa but no yet known if he will be involved in the match day squad.
Rogers Kiwanuka, Umar Lutalo and Tabu Oryem are all not available due to injuries.
For Onduparaka FC, Okocha Rashid will need late fitness late however midfielder Gadaffi Gadinho, Abonga Dominic, Munir Saidi, John Rogers are all available for selection after missing the first game.
At the center of the game shall be Center Referee Hakim Mulindwa to be assisted on both lines by Mashood Ssali as the first Assistant Referee and Tonny Agil as the Second Assistant Referee whereas the fourth officials shall be Amon Ainebyona, Andrew Kaweesa and Sheik Sulaiman Matovu
