Leo Football Club on Sunday 19th, June crowned champions of Arua District Football Association 4th Division for the season 2021/22, the crowning ceremony was held at Bishop Stadium in Mvara.
Leo football club who went into the game as already confirmed champions of Northern zone beat Southern zone champions Kuluva Rainbow 2-1 at Bishop Stadium in a match attended by Thousands of supporters.After an impressive season, Leo football club picked up from where they stopped by beating Kuluva Rainbow to maintain their ambition for 2022/2023 Westnile Regional League season.
The mvara-based side dominated the first half of the game and broke the deadlock through Yofas who headed in Lucky Philip's well crossed corner to give Leo football club the lead in the 17th minute.
Kuluva tried to get back into the match but with some wasteful finishing and resolute defending from leo football club conspired to frustrate the kuluva based side.
Towards the end of first half, Yofas doubled leo football club's lead in the 32 second minute after another brilliant corner delivery from Lucky Philips to complete his brace in the game, At the start of second half, Bairon scored the consolation goal for Kuluva Rainbow in 46th minute
Arua DFA will now be represented by Six (6) teams in the 2021/22 Zonal league play offs which will be hosted by Arua and Adjumani District's Football Association respectively.
The Six teams are Leo football club, Kuluva Rainbow, Ocoko United, Arua Airfield For , Oli Rising Stars and Muni soccer club Football Club.
The Zonals are reportedly set to kick off on 24th June 2022 with arrival of clubs.
