Arua Hill Stadium under Development infrastructure (DI) construction is the only improved sports facility set to be opened in westnile upon it's completion, the stadium is currently 75 percent under construction process.
The stadium is relatively said to be the second best stadium in Uganda that can host international football events to St.Marys stadium of Vipers sports club owned by Lawrence Mulinduwa the club president for the venoms.
Nonetheless, more good news coming in indicates that Westnile's FUFA Big league representatives Calvary football club is set to launch the construction of Horizon Arena, a stadium to be used by Calvary FC in near feature.
The multi-purpose sports Arena shall be located at midigo in Yumbe district. The complex that is said to sit on 6 acres of land is expected to be under construction that awaits more resource mobilization from the stake holders and partners to start up the project at Midigo in Yumbe district Westnile region.
The stadium is said to be a 20,000 seater stedia with a vast business park. According to the authorities, in a press conference held at Hi-5 in Arua city on Wednesday, this kind of setting is intended to ensure the stadium’s financial viability beyond football and ensure more sports facilities in Westnile region to Arua Hill Stadium.
The stadium shall be the home field for Calvary football club, who are currently applying their trade in the StarTimes FUFA Big League the second top tier league in Uganda in Ugandan football.
