Adjumani Town council Football Club is set to confirm Godfrey Akena as their new Head coach on a two years employment contract.

Akena reportedly arrived in Adjumani yesterday to finalize his paper works and he was expected to start his first training with the team today the club's media officer Emalex told Dailywestnile sports.

CAF B licensed Godfrey Akena is the New head coach. He will be deputized by a local based coach, Drici Joseph who is a CAF C certified coach whilst the team is still going to maintain Chandiga Andrew Edu who took them to the Big league in the backroom staff as he still lucks some qualifications to handle the team in Big league.


Akena has previously coached Calvery football club, Gulu United in the lower divisions and notably guided Acholi Province to winning the second edition of the FUFA Drum tournament.


Adjumani TC Football Club defeated Nebbi Central (1-0) in the West Nile Regional playoff to earn a place in this year's StarTimes FUFA big League 2022/2023 season.

Anyama Emmanuel scored the only important goal that separated the two sides.


The Madi based entity are hosting their home games in Adjumani at the Paridi Stadium.
