Laughter Reigns in Arua: Sundiata MOK’s Comedy Train Rolls from Boxing Day to Easter

Arua City, Uganda – Arua City’s comedy scene is witnessing a vibrant renaissance, thanks to the consistent efforts of one of its own, Sundiata MOK, popularly known as the Mayor of Kirabu. Over the past few years, Sundiata has become a household name in the West Nile region, hosting highly successful comedy events that draw large crowds and put Arua firmly on East Africa's entertainment map.

Boxing Day Comedy Success

Last year’s Boxing Day Comedy Extravaganza, organized by Sundiata MOK and his team under the banner of Mayor of Kirabu & Friends, was a resounding success. 

Held at Heritage courts in  Arua City, the show featured a mix of seasoned comedians, up-and-coming acts, and special surprise performances. Hundreds of revelers, both local and from neighboring regions, flocked to the event, eager to unwind and laugh away the festive stress.

Easter Sunday Comedy Bash Announced

Riding on the momentum of the Boxing Day success, Sundiata MOK is now set to deliver an even bigger and bolder event this Easter. Announced as "The Easter Sunday Comedy Bash", the show is scheduled for 20th April 2025 at the prestigious Le Tsuba Hotel, promising a night of non-stop laughter, entertainment, and surprises.

The Easter edition boasts an impressive lineup of East Africa’s top comedic talents:

Wokil from South Sudan, renowned for his sharp humor and cross-border appeal.

Mca Tricky, straight from Nairobi's popular Churchill Show, bringing a Kenyan flavor to the stage.

Uganda’s very own Mc Kash Owakabi and the hilarious Village Boyfriend, both crowd favorites in the region.

Additionally, Sundiata has teased the inclusion of surprise acts that he promises will leave the audience “crying with laughter.”
