In a thrilling Sunday match-up, BUL FC overcame Arua Hill with a 2-1 victory, despite being reduced to ten men. This win propelled them to the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table, sharing the summit with Kitara FC, as both teams have secured nine points from their opening three games.

The Paridi Ground in Adjumani witnessed an exciting clash, with Lawrence Tezikya playing the hero for BUL with the decisive goal. But the game wasn't without its share of drama and challenges.

The visitors took the lead in the 28th minute when Alex Kitatta headed in Joel Madondo's precise cross to put the visitors on the lead as Paridi Stadium was put to silence.

However, their joy was short-lived as John Rogers equalized for Arua Hill just five minutes later with a near-post header from a corner kick, sending both teams into halftime level.  John Rogers aka Okumu's header from Wahab's corner delivery levels matters up at halftime

The turning point of the match came in the second half when Benon Tahomera of BUL was shown a red card for a dangerous challenge, leaving his team a man down. Despite the numerical disadvantage, BUL capitalized on poor defending by Arua Hill.

On the 73rd minute, Tezikya pounced on a flick by Kitatta, who was instrumental throughout the game, to send BUL back in front. The defense from Arua Hill proved to be their Achilles' heel as they failed to clear the danger.

For Arua Hill, it has been a dismal start to the season as they find themselves rooted to the bottom of the 16-team table, having lost all three of their opening games. They will need to regroup quickly to turn their fortunes around in the league.
